HOW
GRACE CONSULTING PROVIDES ITS SERVICES
Initial
Contact
Generally, the client will make initial contact with Grace Consulting. Grace
will arrange an appointment between the client and a Grace Consulting Care
Adviser at a time suitable to the client. The client will be offered either
a telephone consultation or a face-to-face meeting. A telephone consultation
on average takes 40 minutes. A face-to-face meeting lasts slightly longer
and can be more effective as more people can attend and the Care Adviser
can make a better appreciation of the client's current environment.
Grace
Consulting's Care Advisers
Grace Consulting Care Advisers are selected from a wide range of skilled/professional
backgrounds such as Nursing, Counselling and Occupational Therapy and all
are already experts in their field. All have excellent communication skills
and the ability to chair family discussion groups and mediate in difficult
situations.
Grace Consulting's Care Advisers are individually trained to Grace Consulting's
high quality standards and the AICA Code of Practice. The paramount Grace
requirements of quality and consistency of approach are thereby assured.
The
Consultation
The consultation takes place at the appointed time. During the consultation,
the Care Adviser will establish the client's current circumstances. The
Care Adviser will also establish the client's needs, aspirations, budgets
and relevant medical assessments. Both client and Care Adviser will come
away from the consultation with a clear idea of the client's requirements.
Confirmation
Letter
The Care Adviser writes to the client with a summary of the client's situation,
the instructions the Care Adviser has received, a proposed care plan and
an estimate of time and costs. The client receives this letter within 2
days of the consultation.
Research
Following the client's instructions to proceed, the Care Adviser carries
out the research and other work needed to satisfy the client's requirements.
This will involve discussions with specialist staff at Grace, searches on
the Grace Consulting database of care providers - developed and maintained
for over 30 years - and research with other professionals as appropriate
to the needs of the client.
Client
Report
Within a few days, the Care Adviser will send the client a report. The report
will detail all of the information requested by the client and a short-list
of selected care providers who can best fulfil the client's needs.
The client will then use this report to select their choice of care. The
Grace Consulting Care Adviser can be available to accompany the client on
visits to the short-listed care providers to help make this selection. Grace
Consulting always advise that wherever possible the person who is to receive
the care should be involved in making the final choice of care.
Follow-up
Call
If a client requests, the Grace Consulting Care Adviser will monitor the
care within 3 months of care being chosen to ensure all is well.
