FINANCIAL
ADVISERS
Grace Consulting
has worked for many years with Financial Advisers to provide Independent
Care Advice for their clients.
Financial Advisers provide a range of advisory services to help clients
manage and protect their assets. Our experience shows that Care Planning
is a critical element in meeting clients' overall needs. Failure to address
this can leave clients and their families facing difficult personal and
financial problems.
Long Term Care provision can be very expensive. Even relatively wealthy
people can find they are rapidly outliving their resources, leaving them
and their families with difficult choices and a lack of readily available
advice. As in most areas of life, early planning and good advice are key
to avoiding such problems. Access to Independent Care Advice offers an opportunity
to add real value to existing services provided to clients and their families,
and can produce a valuable additional source of referrals.
Value
Added Client Benefit
There is overwhelming evidence that people find selection of care in old
age one of the most difficult choices to make, be it for themselves or a
parent or grandparent. Over 2.5 million people are receiving care in their
own homes. Over 500,000 people are in residential care. At present anyone
in England with more than £23,000 of assets is responsible for their
own costs of care, excluding nursing.
Grace Consulting provides a tailored Independent Care Advice service to
professionals who manage clients' finances and assets. Stockbrokers,
lawyers, accountants, bankers
and IFAs provide this service as a relevant, attractive,
low-cost and high-value benefit to their clients. Clients value the service,
seeing it as a vital part of their asset management and planning.
This added-value benefit attracts new customers, wins new business and establishes
long-term relationships with existing clients. For further information,

IFA
Services
Many IFAs refer clients who are beginning to struggle, or who have dependent
relatives who are beginning to struggle, to live independently at home.
Grace Consulting helps to identify the care the client needs and then helps
the client find a provider of that care, which in turn creates a financing
need which the IFA can then satisfy.
Grace Consulting also provides a service whereby an IFA, for a small
retainer fee, can provide to its clients free care advice from Grace Consulting,
unlocking the need for care and the need to finance that care, which the
IFA can then satisfy.
Presentations
for IFA's
Grace Consulting can provide a range of presentations for different audiences.
These are based on our experience and knowledge of the market and address
issues with a supportive, positive approach.
Seminars
for Clients
Grace Consulting has wide experience in joint presentations to clients of
IFAs. We raise awareness of the need to plan ahead, using case studies to
promote the benefits of care planning and estate preservation.
Care
Advice for Clients' Parents
There is often the opportunity for Financial Advisers to speak to clients
about their parents' care needs. A care report from Grace Consulting can
assist a financial planning discussion, concerning Inheritance Tax for example,
with the whole family.
The benefit for the Financial Adviser is to generate new clients and associated
sales commissions.
State
Benefits
While most IFAs may be familiar with state benefits with regard to care
issues, Grace can provide specific answers to a client's eligibility for
NHS, Social Services or other benefits and the availability of any appropriate
free services.
